As his life started fade,
started to blur,
started to end,
she lost all that was right,
all that was true,
all that was her,
she started holding his hand,
holding his words,
holding their love
as the day turned to night,
turned to memories,
turned to dreams,
she began to miss his words,
miss his face,
miss his laugh,
all the years went on,
went cold,
went lonely,
as she realized she wanted love,
she wanted safety,
she wanted care,
but what she truelly wanted...was him...
