Puffs of Cotton
The glass fogged around my hand,
Squared with no top like a sunroof,
Inside the glass sat a puff of cotton balls glued together with a little blue bow,
A small black snout and dark eyes stood out against the white fluff,
Slightly tilting his head to the side, staring at me,
I moved my fingers across the glass,
Pricked up ears jolted to the front of the glass,
A sweeping tail dancing with my finger,
At that moment I knew,
No other had struck me like this,
Moments later my family and I were sitting in a room with the mound of fluff,
Little paws jumped onto my mothers leg, not even reaching her knee,
Cooing she picked him up,
Licking her cheeks and rubbing his snout against her nose,
Her heart was his,
On the floor once again, his petite legs pranced to the water bowl,
Paws clattering the ground with each step,
he bent his head down to the water,
But his head overpowered his body,
Water splashed around the bowl as his head crashed into it, his body came off the ground,
In shock he jumped back shaking his head and pulling his paws over his ears,
Eruption of laughter echoed throughout the walls,
Eye reaching smiles were radiant around the room,
He was perfect.
