How to spend my perfect day
Is easy enough to answer
My perfect day would be in spring
It would be filled with love and laughter
We would spend some time warm on the sand
A small picnic at the beach
We would eat ripe red watermelon
We would share the plump green grapes
We would drink ice cold sweet tea
We would watch the clouds all day
We’d find silly shapes in the sky
We would laugh until we cried
We would sit and watch the blue sky fade
We would see the sun sink
Leaving beautiful bright colors in its wake
We would count the stars until we fell asleep
We would dream to stay right where we are
I’d be with you wrapped tight in your arms
We would have our happily ever after
If only today could be my perfect day
