Push to the front of the throng,
gape at the dolls for sale,
fragile bodies wrapped in scarlet.
Peruse the menu hungrily:
"xxx and xxx are okay
$xxx for full night."
Examine the selections,
choose that one on the end.
Look into her eyes,
note the length of the lashes
but miss the fear their shadows hide.
Pay the price and she is yours,
cash in exchange for a body--
but what else you'll never know.
You'll never know her name,
that she's the seventh of eight daughters,
that she's supposed to working
in a restaurant in Bangkok.
Run your hands over her body,
what you'll never know
is that she fought back,
how they tamed her
you'll never know.
You've purchased her--
but what you've purchased,
you'll never know
