There's Another
Every time I inhale, this world gets more frail,
and every time I take a step its got to take another rep.
People living large, oh there’s another murder charge.
People disrespecting, and constantly infecting,
Our minds with all the hate, in the negative mind state.
People popping attitudes, they need to grab some gratitude.
Tell me, what the hell do you see through your eyes?
Do you see all the lies and tears in people eyes?
Do you see that this world no longer has roots?
Do you see the fighting soldiers in their dirty boots?
See these people don’t care, they take this life for granted,
then they sit and wonder why this world is so slanted.
This world is hanging by, nothing but a thread,
take a second get that through your head.
People better hurry up and get their act together,
before this world turns to straight stormy weather.
There’s another drive by, that person couldn’t say good-bye.
There’s a false convict that didn’t commit the crime,
he’ll be paying fines right down to the last dime.
Sixteen year old in a hospital bed, pure pressure tore his life to a shred.
There’s a homeless person with no shoes on his feet,
walking through the rocks, snow, rain, hail, sleet.
There’s a girl who’s wheelchair bound, her feet cant touch the ground.
She’s still standing strong, but her hopes and dreams are gone,
So lets just sing along,
lets just sing along,
lets just sing along.
This world is hanging by, nothing but a thread,
take a second get that through your head.
People better hurry up and get their act together,
Before this world turns to straight stormy weather.
This society, tearing at my anxiety,
people need to understand the value of sobriety.
Sometimes it’s too much for me to handle,
every time I turn around, there’s another scandal.
There’s another hit and run, too bad the car won,
just because he wanted to have a little fun.
Now this kid will never have a chance to graduate,
because he’s up there waiting at heavens gate.
I don’t know why I had the temptation,
to write this all down, was it all my frustration?
Or the fact that I wanted to inform this one nation,
under god please give us some salvation.
Because...this world is hanging by, nothing but a thread,
take a second get that through your head.
People better hurry up and get their act together,
Before this world turns to straight stormy weather.
