Can't Listen

I know they are speaking
But i dont hear their words
I see their lips moving
I know words come out
I give a new meaning to "In one ear out the other"
I do miss sound and words
Why cant i hear? you might ask
Because of the pain
I chose not to listen
I'm afraid of what i might hear
The words wont be...
Kind
Sweet
Loving
or Happy
They will be mean words like...
Stupid
Hate
Worthless
Those words hurt
More than you know
So i chose not to hear them
I let them go
"In one ear, Out the other"
Because i cannot listen
