I am a warrior
I work hard
Fight to the ends
Die for my friends

I am a warrior
That nobody sees
Invisible, cunning, smart
Talented at art

I am a warrior
A ghost on the streets
Always wants a peak
Does not speak

I am a warrior
Who is a friend
Tries to understand , never a lie
Asks 'why?"

I am a warrior
Who stands 10 feet tall
Nobody notices me
Not even when I flee

I am a warrior
That my greatest weapon is a
Pencil, gold and yellow
I'm very mellow

I am a warrior
Who will die trying
Fighting to the end
A pen as my friend

I am a warrior
Who is not afraid of trying new things
Even if it takes
Decades

I am a warrior
That follows orders
Going up to the edge
Not falling off the ledge

I am a warrior
Who goes where no one else goes
Sees what no one else sees
One who knows how to talk to trees

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this poem when I thought back on my social life, and how I felt about fitting in. The narrator in the poem is a warrior, even though some may not know it because they don't pay attention to her.
