The Me he hasn't met yet
"How perfect for you!" they exclaim
Describing a man not mine
And I smile politely as they quote the features
Stuff of which I can not stand
"Shall we arrange for your meeting?"
I say, "I hope so" but smirk
Cause my real man is out there still
Smirking at someone arranging for him
Shaking his head as he picks up a pen
And writes a poem about the me he hasn't met yet
