This witness…me
Is the only one you’ll have
No one will help you relive the summers
That we shared
And count how many times it seemed
Like I cared
And as the thunder rolls in
And tears fall down like rain
Who will be there to know it isn’t pain
Just memories
And the definition of
Forever & Always
Won’t have a meaning
Just a curse
And now the girl you’re holding
All through this won’t be looked at the same
When you kiss her passionately
In the rain
That’s now me
And when she whispers
Forever & Always in your ear
My voice will echo in your head
And when you try to cover up our memories
With new ones
It’s impossible
Because the best days of your life
Were in those nine months
And the rest of your life
You’ll be searching for that meaning
The meaning I gave you
Yet the girl that you even think fulfills that
Is not even close
She’s just a copy
