Unwanted Company

I lay awake in bed
my eyes are shut,
my mind is open
i cant help it,
that shiver that travels up my back
as the images enter my mind
they are fake,
they are silent,
they are here.
my eyes lurk around the darkness that surrounds me
i can feel a presence in my room
although nothing is there
i am blind in the darkness
but they are anything but
my eyes shut,
my skin shivers,
i feel a breath on me,
breathing,
there is breathing..
that is not mine
