As Time Flies
The lofty snow covered mountains
Stand tranquil,
Like the white untouched ground below.
‘Tis a passer-by trudging through, that
Stirs the crystals of snow into flight.
The husky, white haired man
Getting to where he needs to be,
Looks all but what surrounds him.
The snowcapped rocks,
The birds in flight, the clouds above.
All is unseen
As time passes by.
They say stop and smell the roses,
I say take a pew
And embrace it all before
Life as we know it ends.
Do it, do it now
For we haven’t much time,
Time flies
