For all you math masterminds out there
Who are able to tackle trig and Calc 2
As fast as flushing the toilet
Who can calculate, evaluate
Simplify and solve
So easily, that it’s like second nature
Can you look at these problems over here and give me some answers?
PLEASE?
I’m not the only one asking.

Can you tell me roughly how many more seconds
Does a person has to wait
To be emancipated from their cruel, tethered lives
How many more seconds
Do people have to remain in their sorrowful cages or
Chains of inequality?

And how about this problem?
Can you solve for x , the number of lives
Damaged, tortured, and lost
In hopeless or grueling fights against a disease
In harmful, unsettling battles
In riots and strikes and brawls
Every single day?

Exactly how many more times
Will a person an average lifetime
Experience more grief, more change
More loss, more failure
Just when things just seems to be getting better for them?

Oh, and what’s the probability that
Right now
At this moment
Out of 6 billion people
Someone’s got a non-stop growling stomach?
Someone has lost his/her job and will be sleeping on the streets tonight?
Someone just took one more step to destroy our Earth?
Or someone’s out there has just lost everything they ever had, wanted, or dreamed of?

I’ve got to say
I threw some pretty hard (if not impossible) ones at you.
But you guys aren’t geniuses for nothing!
So you think you can crack ‘em?
‘Cause I really need to know
And you really need to know
And what the hey?
Maybe it’s time the world should know as well.

If people took the time to think and figure out all these things, I bet the world would be a much more unified and better place to live in, don't you think?

Wow, I have to say, this is a really great poem. It's unique in it's own way, made me really think about it all, and shows how horrid and hard those "maths problems" were. Love it! =D
