Favorite Quote:
Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering. St. Augustine

You feel it,
As it frightens already frightened children.
You feel it,
As it makes the depressed even more depressed.
You feel it,
As it hurts those who have been hurt too much.
You feel it,
As it angers those who are already angry.
You feel it,
As it cries along side the crying.
You feel it,
As it sings along with the singing.
You feel it,
As it smiles with the smiling.
You feel it,
As it dances with the dancing.
You feel it,
As it runs away with the running.
You feel it,
As it skips with the skipping.
You feel it,
As it jumps with the jumping.

You feel it,
As it has such power-
To frighten the frightened.
TO depress the depressed.
To hurt the hurting.
To anger the angry.
To cry with the crying.
To sing with the singing.
To smile with the smiling.
To dance with the dancing.
To run with the running.
To skip with the skipping.
To jump with the jumping.

How can it be such a wonderful, and terrible thing?
How can it love some, while hating others?
How can it save some, but kill others?
How can it change lives, some for the better, and some, for the worse?
How can it be to some, a gift, and to others, a burden?
How can it be...rain?

I thought about how just one simple thing can touch someone's life in such a powerful way, some for the better, and some, for the worse...
