I awaken
Thankful for the day
Loving every breath
A gift in its own way
Walking,
As many did for me,
Gives me a rush
I'm finally free
Of cords
Wires
Machines and
Chemotherapy
People call me
A cancer Survivor
I smile
All the while
Thinking,
Make the best
Of each day
Because eventually
It'll be taken away
To others I'm Survivor
To myself
I'm Second Chance
