Another Star Fell from the Earth
Another star fell from the earth,
Stifled, breathless, a hasty flight;
The workings of the globe stay smooth,
Her creatures chase for all they see
And do not muse of what they’d lost;
The sounds of feet and progress blare,
Uncaring for the hidden birth
That vanished in a noiseless death
Remembered by fire in the sky.
