blown away
I looked at you today
But couldn’t really see
You came and left my life
as lightning strikes a tree
there and gone so quick
but the fires left behind
sitting there to burn
until just ashes are left to find
I looked at you today
Wanting you to see
But instead of you
A stranger was looking back at me
Eyes blank and cold
Not shiny like before
Can you even remember what you used me for?
All friendships blown away by your sudden change of temperature
I just hope someday the ashes might help us all remember
