They look upon me as
if I'm so strange...as if I
don't notice them sizing me up
in such a manner.
They share the same jokes,
borrow each others' clothes,
and choose each other over
the outsider who merely looks
in and try to explain to myself
why I will never
be allowed inside.

The answer stares me so
clearly in my willfully ignorant face.
I'm different--I'm the black sheep
of the group who is an insult to
be compared to with the prom queens.

During game time, trust is not earned,
but created through friendship.
