Ode to Nature

Oh nature,
you comb through my hair like an older sibling.
Gentle and caring.
You whisper me secrets,
tell me of things
you've heard and seen.
I love you
and you love me.
You've taken care of me,
even when I've forgotten to show you kindness.
I've been taught to care for you,
but I neglect my duties.
On warm summer days,
I lay alone and still in your grassy arms.
Your breath caresses my skin,
cooling my spring fever.
You go through changes.
One day, you're in a feverish rage.
Another, I get the silent treatment.
Sometimes, you'll shower me with warm kisses.
Often singing to me sweet sonnets,
lulling me to sleep.
I wish for eternity with you.
Knowing it won't happen,
I bid you "Ado."
Promises of tomorrow told with my eyes.

I wrote this poem in hope of describing nature or a park and it's effects on me
