If you would not be forgotten, as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write things worth the reading, or do things worth the writing. -Ben Franklin

Ability, performed to its best

May exceed the standard set

But instead go above and beyond,

Into places unknown, with the confidence

To succeed, and attain goals unreachable.

If not done with greed, but with the will to achieve, with

Optimism and persistence and dignity,

Not for glory, but for satisfaction, to know you have accomplished what others believed to be unaccomplishable. Then is the

Sky only the beginning.

Ambitions.

I'm actually not much of a poet, but this I wrote for a language arts project and decided it is quite good.
We all have ambitions, don't we? Especially as writers. It's good to have goals, and try to reach them. I thought it would make a good subject for a poem.
It's secretly an acrosstic poem... it spells "ambitions" down the left side.
