I am
Beautiful, never ugly
Feeling Skinny, not stout
Joyful not sad
Thoughts Positive, not having doubt
Having open, not closed mind
My life colorful, not blue
Acting upbeat, never boring
Always exciting and new
Never crying inside
And outside good
Never down or glooming
Always understood
Not quiet, just loud
Never depressed
Always creative and vibrant
Rarely stressed
Always bold, not caged
Simply I'm free
Not body distortional
Just me

Me
Just distortional body
Not free, I'm simply caged
Not bold
Always stressed
Rarely vibrant and creative
Always depressed
Never loud, just quiet
Not understood
Always glooming or down
Never good
Outside and inside crying
Never new and exciting
Always boring, never upbeat
Acting blue
Not colorful life
My mind closed, not open
Having doubt, having not positive thoughts
Sad, not joyful
Stout not skinny
Feeling ugly, never beautiful
Am I?

The author's comments:
When read forward, this poem has all positive thoughts. Although, when read backwards, with the same words in the exact order, all the thoughts come out negative. You should always try to look on the bright side of situations, especially about yourself. Because as my poem shows, there is always a positive side to a negative thought, So turn it around.

Thank you so much! All of my poems come from times I have gone through as well, so I can definitely relate. Keep looking to that happier end of things :)

I love this poem. I have gone through rough times with not being confident. I feel depressed sometimes, but I do look at the bright side of things. I use this for inspiration, because that's what writers do. :)
