We Sit and contemplate the raw qualities of humans
Determine the very aspects of life that we despise
The very person we try to hide
Rare beauty that is bestowed we fail to see
Looking in the mirror I don’t even see the true me
A person full of hatred, violence and ironically emptiness
It was there I lost my path and wondered in the darkness
The ambiguity of life itself roamed throughout my mind
What was truly left and stored for me
What do I live for
To try and be the person I wanted to be
What do I live for in life
To add color to the shadows that is plain to see
What do I live for
To try and escape my destiny
What do I live for in life
To really just be me
But it’s hard with the pain and suffering that life makes you go through
A type of pain that I wish I never knew
What more can we ask for but just live day by day
Praying that God will lead us the whole way
Mom, Dad I wrote this for you
Just know that everything that we endured
It is God way of making sure that we have matured
To help show other people the right way
Because we will leave someday
The question changes
And the answer is within you
