You might decide to
say hi to me
when I walk by you
or you might not even see
it depends on your mood
if I'm looking up
which one of us
noticed the other first
whether I had a good day
if you're in a hurry
if I'm walking with a friend
or if you've got to catch your bus
and if either one of us
has headphones in
then I know I'm not getting
a hello today
but I don't want to be
yet another case of
it depends
I want to be your
constant.
