We know their hands, their eyes will fade,
But let them for today remain.
We know eventually
Lights do dim.
But now let them stay,
Before that night so grim.
We know will does waver.
But let action now pass.
Let us be our saviors.
We know the wind
Away will drift.
But now let it fill us,
Give us lift.
We know the music
Of our lives will cease.
But for this moment,
Let us play our piece.
Let it ring out,
So that no one
In the present moment
Will be deaf to
Our affecting,
Our forceful,
Our penetrating shout!
