Pillage the soul of the many victims
of this hatred so deeply rooted
blindness of our stereotypical minds
Strain to perceive with a higher rationality,
I plead to you,
Then our imprudent peers.
Swimming in a bath of ignorance and animosity.
Their belief of absolute elitism,
a looming cloud over the lesser
I will not conform to your dreams of hierarchy
This hate so deeply etched into society
It will not take me,
Will not make me
I am my own

What inspired me to write this poem was a movie about prejudices, and i began thinking about how our society is a racist one, even though not all of us are racist, as a whole, we are. I hope people will read this and be inspired to stand up against racism.

I like the message sent in this poem. Racism is a problem in a lot of areas, which is really a shame. :/ Good job capturing that problem in this poem.
