He Says Everything I Want to Hear
And is the best man in the world
I love him
Need him
It is not settling though
It’s easier being alone
I want to feel like no one wants me
No one cares
But now he is here
Do I dare?
The pain is welcome
If it ever comes again
How can I keep
Such a fragile thing
I want this seedling to grow into a strong tree overnight
I will break it like a porcelain doll
I will beat upon it like stormy waves
All the while saying “I love you”
Oh, do I love you
Just let me love you
In the best way I know how
