In Shards
I'll clench the hands that hide my face
Quiet tears that have no taste,
broken glance reflects my glance
I don't recognize the girl staring back
Her hair was limp, her kips were pale
her face was scarred with a distant past,
her lids went limp to rest at last
She opened her mouth to pray outloud,
but no one could hear, she made no sound
With a silent vow she took her place
she was no longer afriad to hide her face
Her skin; pastel, her eyes were dry
no glaring judgement could make her cry
She felt stronger now, she let me see
That we were finally forever free.
