The harsh and gentle breeze
I realize I'm not ready
To fight in a battle
And forever have scars of war

Even as the storm bounds in
I continue to sit on the steps
It's impossible to cross the bridge
That will forever change my life

The storm clouds are rolling in quick now
I have to decide

On one side I have my life
On the other, it's him
We're not your average boy and girl
He's no Romeo to my Juliet
We argue and fight and cuss one another out
But deep down, I love him

But is it fair to be afraid?
I'm scared that if i choose him, i lose my life
Everything i worked so hard for
My struggle and endless strife

But when he looks at me as the thunder claps and the lightening turns sand to glass
I see the abyss of copper color that i've grown to love
His eyes say it all, and i'm sure mine do too
I look over my shoulder and see nothing new
The same life i've lived and seen all the way through
Should I leave?
Or is everything I have far too new?

When he looks at me, I find it hard to breathe.
It's like magnets pulling so hard, one could rip.
Our hearts beat like it's the apocalypse.
So I stretch out my fingers,
Fighting for one last touch.
But I can't make it.
He's far too tall.
The bridge is swept wide across, and i'm left with open air.
But the color of his eyes, it's too much to bear.
So I hold my hands together and shake them at the sky.
For the moment that I leap off the cliff,

The sky begins to cry

Wow, this was an excellent poem, great rhythm and rhyme, and very emotional, I can feel her doubt and confusion.  The last sentence just finishes it perfectly.
