Incandescent of falling stones
Misery ridden muffled moans
Amidst the hoisting black clad groans
Lowering the box of bitter bones

Tears and heavy heart sobs shake
At the injustice of destiny to take
A life it had just begun to make
And replacing it with deathly hollow ache

During the rampant victory cries
During the blaring bugle lies
During false glory filling their eyes
Some few shed remorseful tears and sigh

For indecent men cry "we have won!"
And partake of festal party fun
Celebrate the masses and ignore the one
Whose brave, brief life on this earth is done

So dont let your voice sing out joyous sound
Have compassion on those whom death has found
Be solemn and still as his casket comes round
Mourn, as your brother is lowered into the ground
