I wish I could say
That this was all a
Surprise
But the truth is
I saw it coming
From miles and miles
Away.
You filled my head with
Precious words
That I was stupid enough to
Believe.
But I still remembered
The times before
You messed with my head
Ripped my heart
Apart.
I wanted to believe
That you had changed,
The words were what you
Meant.
But once a player
Always a player.
And now I'm in
Pieces once again
Because I took a chance,
And you took
Advantage.
