He has to come home
She says he's not coming back
That he's six feet under
Entombed in stone
I don't understand

Where's the grey hair
The wide smile and open arms
His cheap but pristine suit
That smells of tobacco
It's already five

The train has arrived
Passengers roll out the grand doors
Snow falls all around
This bench is cold
He's never this late

I'll return again
I will be her when he comes
Tomorrow here at five
He has to come
Because I am waiting

He has to come home
He always does

Anyone who hasn't watched Hachiko: A Dog's Story, has missed out on a truly beautiful story and needs to at least give it a try. I'm not a dog person, but this moved me to tears.
