"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to." ~Bilbo Baggins

Escape from the everyday
That's what I'd like to do
Forget everything they say
Someplace where time doesn't matter

I've plenty of temporary leaves
Books, music, art
But I want something permanent
Someplace where I listen to my heart

A permanent escape
Somewhere warm and safe
An escape that outlives time and space
Someplace that isn't here

The author's comments:
I was a little depressed, and I would like to escape from my everyday world. I actually wrote it for an English assignment. We were writing poems in response to the overall theme of poems from a concentration camp in the Holocaust.
This is what I did.
