The Beat

As the piano plays
and the drums set in
my body is forced to move
trapped I begin to move to the beat
the warm summer breeze sets in
moving in the courtyard
the mood becomes intense
my lady meets me
and we move together
escaping from the world
the sunset shines in her eyes
blinding me into happiness
this may be all i need
touching her hands
tracing them and coming together
makes me complete
as the piano plays
and the drums set in
the perfect night has yet to begin
