"Imaginary"
Light shines through the window
Where your face used to appear.
A shadow, a doubt, still lingering
That's making you harder to disappear.
Tiny little shivers creep through skin
Where your warmth was once immersed.
Touching feelings I kept apart
That now are becoming interspersed.
A darkness fills the crevices
That you left to shatter my heart.
Pushing through their scarred emotions,
Shoving them even further apart.
Silence fills the room around me
And only your voice echoes on the walls.
Demanding quiet in my screaming head
With the words that continue to fall.
Your image can't be broken easily
And your memory still haunts and scares
With an intensity that disrupts my days
Through imaginary eyes that continue to stare.
