tears
The moment it hit me,
The moment it came.
The drop of rejection
The droplet a tear.
A river down my pale cheek,
A river in the sun.
The cool spring wind like peppermint,
Sweet candy dripping down.
So bitter when it hits my lips,
I wish It'd make me drown.
That comfort smell of cigarettes
I smell as I look down.
My sunkissed lashes thick and wet,
Those little drops of rainbow;
They glisten brightly in the sun-
so light with heavy sorrow.
The path of doom a red brick road-
I've walked it all my life,
Well I can sit and smoke for now-
I'm only safe right now.
