A New Man
I don’t think I can look you in the eye anymore,
I’m not sure how to react- everything I ever thought about you was wrong
You’re not who I thought you were and it’s almost too much to deal with
All I ever did was look up to you, and now I feel sick at the thought of your name
How could you do this?
I can’t just pretend that you are who I want you to be, or go back in time and forget it ever happened
After what you did; what they said about you
I can’t go back,
And you will never be the man I built you up to be
