Chefs feed
Teachers educate
Soldiers kill
He shamefully bore his eyes into those
Of the starving, pitiful figure
Staring pleadingly up at him
As he pulled the trigger.
Not to shed a tear
Took all the young Marine's strength of will
Doctors, he thought, heal
Soldiers kill.
