rabbit hole
and then she dreamt it was reality true
when she was falling, stumbling through -
and then she choked up a starry tooth
beneath bedside tables upon the roof
'because masks conceal all true intentions'
she considers, sinking to high suspensions
silver spoons, knives, and forks, in tones
all clink together like musical bones
she longs for marmalade, orange and sticky
but she'll take plum or cherry, she isn't picky
and then birds burst from her lips, toes and fingers
she sets them free, but the strange feeling lingers
because it is a wonderland, you see
where things aren't very easy to set free
'don't be scared, - ' the vermin jury cries
' - for we see the horror in your eyes.'
she falls ever faster, passing rotting cherry tart
wake up, wake up. run from the queen of heart!
what a tragedy, wonderland - your bleeding bane
for we can see the murder upon your lips, a stain.
