Meds left in the cabinet
untouched
Feet out the door
Time to free my mind
Beyond the ordinary

Memory Renewed
Life’s Essence Refreshed
A grin lights up my face
Nothing seems too far
For me to reach today

Walk out on the street
I see grass, green, new
Growing over the cement
More alive than ever before
But the people trample it

Look out at the sun above
Smiling its radiance down
On the benches and birds and
On me here in this park
But the others wear shades

Seems like God chose me today
To see the beauty of nature
God chose a maniac
Manic and deranged
Why should I ever change?
