Fate?
And I feel as though I’ve been here before
Seen this room and walked through that door
Heard your laughter as it tickled my senses and cascaded through time
which seemed to have come to a standstill
Overly familiar faces
but you, you’re that light at the end
that glimmer of hope that tells me
I’m a coming
Dependence reeks of misery,
and mine tends to disagree with company.
Therefore I must go
and experience the world, what it’s like to truly be alive
all without you.
Still, in the back of my mind
I cherish knowing that we will meet again
you’ll see me anew
a finer version of that girl who secretly leaned on you last century
with whom you dreamed silly nothings
underneath the honey- heavy breeze and the swaying trees
