My Confusion
His embrace sends lightning through my veins
It means nothing
His smile draws me in like a moth to a flame
But his intentions are all but inviting
His words ring alertness in my ears
But their coming from a silver tongue only wanting to take advantage of my shame
Using me, coxing me towards giving in
And I realize this
His presence illuminates the room
Over powers my actions leaving me unnoticed
Every time I open my mouth
He has words to contradict me
He beats me down
And then apologizes with the most sympathetic of grins
And I don't understand anything
Especially why I still love him
