"The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." -e.e. cummings

Gazing down below
from my central stage
a bridge above all eyes, his eyes
my senses pick up a beautiful melody
that drowns out the surrounding ugliness,
putting a full pallet of colors into this tiring grey lobby.
Thank you guitar player.
Strumming the strings on your guitar
pulls on those in my heart, lifting my smile
for a mid-day break.
Thank you guitar player
for pleasing me
with your charms, guitar player.
You make everything alright, again.
Your beloved notes fly up as they dazzle all those sitting near.
Sun light, sun bright, on this cloudy day.
Each pluck brings a cuddly, vivacious blessing
to the stressors in my way.
Thank you guitar player.
Young, tee shirt, long sleeves- black and white
just as those on your feet.
dark hair, legs crossed, lips apart-
slightly moving, up and down, side to side,
involved. Deeply concentrating, yet completely aware.
Thank you guitar player.
I must go now,
but please do return,
as you have enlightened my life and my love.
Thank you guitar player.

I really enjoyed this poem, as I play guitar myself. I liked the repetition of the line "thank you guitar player" I thought it really helps carry the poem along. Very good word choice.
