poetry is a diary written out loud

one day as we were driving by
i saw an old man sitting on the side
he asked for money ,and i asked him why
then he looked at me and started to cry
i gave him my change
and i took a seat
he showed me his things
and an old cantine
he asked if i
assumed it was beer
i answered yes
and he said thats not fare
i know i am dirty
and begging is cheap
but i am to old for working
and my wife wont wake from her sleep
i sit on this coner
and i pray everyday
that my wife knows i love her
and im glad her pain went away
though i know she is gone
i still miss her so
i can never move on
she will be in heaven waiting untill its my time to go

i just think its wrong that people get judged before you ever get to know them. this poem talks about a girl that took the time to see why an old man sat on the street everyday. most people look at the poor as beggers or dirty people but not every one is. you never know if it could be someone in need of some help
