Life isn't fair

Where do I go in society,
When I have no face?

How do I know what’s home,
When I don’t belong here?

I am invisible,
And no one can see me.

I have no face,
So no one knows who I am.

I am an alien,
Everywhere I go.

Where do I go,
When I have no face?

I can’t see because I have no eyes,
So how do I know if people are around?

I scream, asking people where I am,
Hoping there is someone by me.

Why aren't they listening to me?
Then, I realize I have no mouth.

I bang on something hoping people will hear.
Silence surrounds me, as I realize I have no ears.

So where do I go,
When I have no face?

The author's comments:
This poem is focused on those who feel like they don't belong anywhere; those who feel like no one listens to them, sees them. Everyone feels lost at least once in their life time, and this is what it's about: those who feel like everything and everyone gave up on them; those who feel like a nobody with no where to go.
