If I am the sun of your day,
you are the moon of my night.

If I am the pillow beneath your head,
you are the blanket that covers me.

If I am the air you breathe,
you are the blood in my veins.

If I am the home you come to,
you are the town I grew up in.

If I am the fire that burns,
you are the water that soothes.

If I am the lightning that strikes,
you are the thunder that roars.

If I am the love of your existance,
you are mine.

This poem talks about how opposites kind-of attract. You can't have one without the other.

Thank you! This was one of the first poems I ever wrote... I think I've gotten a little better... lol.

I didn't know how to end it. I just sort of figured that it would be a difference that stood out a little.

WOAH CHICKADEE! i am speechless! i have to say that i am shocked that this was not published at all! it has a beautiful message and the striking comparisions are lovely! i do have to admit that the last two lines don't live up to the rest of the poem and i don't think they wrap it up pretty well, but i do understand it. this is very good! keep writing cause that's the only way to get better :)
