My Equation
Me + You = What?
There is a Me,
But there is never a You.
When I sleep,
I’m in a room,
A room with a view.
I see a portrait,
Me + You = What?
The portrait is bare,
But is being painted.
I come into focus,
And maybe You do too,
But then the artist stops.
Me + You = What?
I am in such great detail,
Every shadow cast,
Every crevice in my skin.
You are just an outline,
An unattainable dream.
Me + You = What?
