Drowning in the River of Me
A needles pokes through the thin sheet of glass
Into the surface of my pupil
It finds its way through the ball of white
And gently tickles the slimy surface of my brain
Until a single tear slams down onto the damp pavement
It is then followed by a stream of salty water
Once again I'm the only one that drowns.
