Pour Toutes Mes Fautes (I Thank You)

Relief is so sweet
Like honey on my lips.
Sugar in between my teeth
Creating craters that will hurt me in time.
But, it’s all alright.
And I’ve found a loss of anxiety
Every time I press a key.
Ivory, electronically,
And it no longer kills me when humanity cradles me
When I find myself in times of trouble.
Mother Mary, let it be.
And I am a bird now.
Flying high over everyone and everything
Before my heart breaks and I come tumbling down.
Caught by the waiting arms of one who will watch over me,
and see my life for how it is and how I could be.
Forgive me,
I am overcome.
