I Won't Let Myself
I won’t let myself feel,
because I know the pain,
the pain that’s inside,
that drives me insane.
I won’t let myself know,
how much I am hurt
because I know I’ll go back,
I don’t want to revert.
I won’t let myself see,
the tear in my heart,
I’ve learned from my mistakes,
learned to be smart.
I won’t let myself taste
the tears that will fall,
I won’t have the chance,
if I don’t cry at all.
I won’t let myself hear
the cries of my past,
can’t let others know,
that the pain does last.
I won’t let myself become
the girl I used to be,
I need to remodel
the girl inside of me.
