She's pretty in that day-old, caked makeup kind of way
With the eyeliner smeared under her eyes
And the mascara running down her cheeks
Lipgloss smeared,
She's pretty with her hair in a dissarray, splayed across the linoleum floor
Body crumpled
Twisted legs
Curled fingers
She's pretty with her red, bloodshot eyes
Tears mixed with mascara, staining her face
Telling dark spots across her wrists
She's pretty with the silver piece of metal, stained, clutched tightly in her hand
