Waiting
Why do you sit there?
Ever so solemn
Still even when chaos flocks around you
Gazing, not crestfallen but patient
Looking at something others can't see
Your eyes never break their gaze
Shifting only to get more comfortable
You seem to know how long to sit
Are you waiting for someone? Something?
Suddenly you glimpse
Break your intense gaze
Your eyes dance with iridencence
He walks slowly to you
Smiling warmly seeing only you
As you rush into his arms
